Summary

Specifically designed for Year 10 to 13 students, SpeakeasyCommunicate develops student confidence, communication, presentation and interview skills.

This programme has been developed by highly experienced Presenters. We are confident that SpeakeasyCommunicate will create an exciting and unique opportunity for students to discover and develop in a world which they often find daunting.

Students are rarely given the opportunity to speak in front of large groups of people, and it is this unknown that incites fear. In providing a comfortable atmosphere our skilled tutors educate by developing knowledge and demonstrating practical techniques. It is this combination of awareness and working practice that will elevate students’ confidence to levels they may not have believed could exist!

Both KS4 and KS5 students find this a vital introduction to skills they need in further Education and the world of work.

How it works

Each module opens with an instructional brief. Our motivational tutors, fast-paced videos and energetic music ensure that we make a big impact on your students!

BODY LANGUAGE

Students discover how to use these to their full potential, with emphasis on identifying and being aware of habitual traits.

VOICE

How can we effectively use our voices to their full potential? Exercises examine detailed insight into successful use of each individual voice.

PERSUASIVE LANGUAGE

This module is highly instructional, detailing varying techniques used such as rhetoric, 3 part lists and synonym choices amongst many others. Using this knowledge, students must reconstruct a poorly prepared example speech to discover the effectiveness of the techniques taught. Practical exercises highlight how pace affects levels of persuasiveness.

DEBATING

Students are introduced to this skill, looking at both content and attitudes. They then have extensive opportunities to put these theories to the test!

INTERVIEW SKILLS

All areas covered are consolidated in workshop interview scenarios.
