Emily Cummins, 21, is an ethical inventor and entrepreneur. Her latest invention is a sustainable fridge, which runs without the need for electricity. Emily was named Technology Woman of the Future 2006, the British Female Innovator of the Year for 2007, and now Cosmopolitan Magazine Ultimate Save the Planet Pioneer.
Fraser Doherty
Fraser Doherty, now 19, set up SuperJam at the age of 14, using his Gran's secret jam recipes. He now supplies SuperJam to all major supermarkets selling over 500,000 jars a year. Fraser was recently named 'Global Student Entrepreneur of The Year', the first ever winner from outside North America.
Amanda Jones
Amanda founded ‘Red Button Design’ receiving a string of awards from The Wall Street Journal, The Oxford Said Business School, and appearing on BBC TV show “The Dragons’ Den”. Red Button Design currently work with the United Nations and the Red Cross, conducting field trials of their water transport and sanitation device.
Sabirul Islam
Sabirul Islam, 18, founded a website design company at the age of 14. Inspired by success, Sabirul wrote his first book ‘The World At Your Feet’, inspiring young people to turn their vision into reality, and is currently launching a board game to promote youth entrepreneurship.
Ruth Amos
Ruth Amos, 18; was Young Engineer for Britain 2006 with, The StairSteady. It is an aid to enable people with limited mobility to use their stairs confidently and safely. It was designed for her GCSE resistant materials project. The design has been patented. She now runs StairSteady Ltd full time.
Vicky Jewson
Vicky Jewson aged 23 is an English film director. With huge acclaim, her first film 'Lady Godiva' was released in 19 cinemas nationwide on 25th January 2008. Jewson also caught media attention for organising a charity fund raising event involving 50 women riding as Lady Godiva through London's Hyde Park.
